The basic eligibility is that the candidate should have passed 10+2 examination conducted by the Board of Higher Secondary Examination of Tamil Nadu or any other equivalent examination with atleast 50% aggregate marks for general Category and 40% for SC/OBC candidates in subjects namely Physics, Chemistry and Biology(Botany & Zoology)/Biotechnology. Age limit- You should be 17 years or more as on December 31, 2017. There is no upper age limit to appear for the exam. Academic Qualifications-You should be class 12th pass under Board of Higher Secondary Examination of Tamil Nadu or any other equivalent examination. Minimum Aggregate Marks- For General Category students minimum aggregate marks is 50% in Biology (Botany & Zoology)/Physics/Chemistry/Biotechnology. There is 5% relaxation for SC/ST Category You should have also studied English as a Subject. Number of Appearances in Qualifying Examination-Mentioned Below is the number appearance one can pass the qualifying examination to be eligible for CET PPMC 2017
Medium of test will be English and Pondicherry will be the examination centre.\ Questions will be generally asked from 12th (HSC) subjects i.e. Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics. Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ’s) will be there followed by four options. This examination has 2 papers. First paper is from Physics and Chemistry subjects and second paper is from Botany and Zoology subjects. 2 hours will be allotted for each paper.
