The candidate must be born on or after June 1, 1995 ( for 2018 academic year) SC/ST candidates and applicants belonging to Catholic community, who are born on or after June 1, 1993 are also eligible to apply for the entrance exams The candidate must have passed Class XII exam or equivalent in the same year as of BMM/BMS admission ( i.e. 2018) with aggregate of 65% marks from a recognized university Minimum cutoff for candidates belonging to Minority community is 60% For SC/ST candidates the minimum cutoff is 55%
The Xavier’s BMS Entrance Test written tests for BMM and BMS will consist of one question paper to be solved in 2 hours. The question papers will consist of two sections- objective type questions and subjective type questions. The question paper consists of 100 marks. The objective type questions section carries 70 marks and subjective type questions section carries 30 marks. There’s no negative marking for wrong answers.
Candidates will be selected through Entrance Exam Rank (EER) which will be based upon Exam Weightage Total scores she/he obtains in BMM/BMS Entrance Test 60% Marks obtained in Class 12 Qualifying Exams 40% Therefore, admissions to the First Year BMM, BMS course are not based on the class 12 Board results alone.
