For Assistant Loco Pilot: Matriculation or its equivalent with ITI Approved by NCVT/SCVT in relevant trade.
For Ticket Collector/ Ticket Examiner: 12th or its equivalent with 50% marks in aggregate
Assistant Loco Pilot: Rs. 5200-20200/- + GP Rs. 2000/-
Ticket Collector/ Ticket Examiner: Rs. 5200-20200/- + GP Rs. 1900/-
Selection Process: Through Computer Based Test.

North Eastern Railway is one of the important railway zones out of the total 17 zones in India. North Eastern Railway is headquartered in Gorakhpur and has got three division under such as Izzatnagar Division, Lucknow Division, and Varanasi Division. North Eastern Railway has started its operations in the year 1952 and is the final result of the combinations of two railway systems such as Oudh Tirhoot Railway & Assam Railway and Fatehgarh district of BB & CI Railway. The North Eastern Railway was inaugurated by Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of the independent India.
Presently the North Eastern Railway operates in the states of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Uttarakhand has contributed a lot to the economic, social and cultural development of these regions. Mr. Rajiv Misra is the General Manager of North Eastern Railway.
